Late-Night Baths in Kumagaya: What Is Still Open After 9 p.m.?
Compare Kumagaya baths after 9 p.m., including Hanayu’s night discount, Yuraku no Sato’s midnight close and Hareniwa’s overnight cleaning break.
Arriving late changes the best choice. The table above separates each bath’s last entry from closing time, which matters if you also need a train or shuttle home.
The useful cutoffs
| Facility | Bathhouse hours / last entry | What changes late at night |
|---|---|---|
| Hanayu Spa Resort | 10 a.m.–11 p.m.; last admission 10:30 p.m. | Entry from 9 p.m. is ¥100 off the selected bathing course. Last free shuttle to Kumagaya Station is 9:30 p.m. |
| Kumagaya Yuraku no Sato | 9 a.m.–midnight; last reception 11:30 p.m. | The bedrock-bath area has its own last reception at 11 p.m.; it costs ¥550 extra. |
| Ofuro Cafe Hareniwa no Yu | 10 a.m.–9 a.m. next day | Baths are unavailable 2–5 a.m.; using the facility in that window adds a ¥1,540 overnight charge. |
If you arrive around 9 p.m.
Hanayu’s after-9 p.m. discount trims ¥100 from the adult bath ticket. The fare and return options are easier to compare separately:
| Hanayu adult bath ticket | Before discount | After 9 p.m. |
|---|---|---|
| Weekday | ¥950 | ¥850 |
| Weekend | ¥1,100 | ¥1,000 |
| Special dates | From ¥1,150 | ¥100 off the selected course |
Last admission is 10:30 p.m. The free shuttle leaves earlier, at 9:30 p.m.; that departure, not the closing time, sets the useful cutoff if you need a ride to Kumagaya Station.
Hareniwa’s 120-minute course costs ¥1,080 for adults on weekdays, plus ¥100 on weekends and public holidays. Towels and facility clothing are not included. Yuraku’s later closing is more useful if the priority is a natural-spring bath before heading back.
After 10 p.m., keep the last admission separate from closing
At Hanayu, there is no entry after 10:30 p.m. Yuraku gives you another hour: last reception is 11:30 p.m., closing at midnight. Its bedrock-bath course closes earlier than the main bath area, so a late arrival should not assume that every add-on remains available until the doors close.
Hareniwa is the only one of the three designed for an overnight stay inside the facility.
| Hareniwa free-time visit | Adult price / details |
|---|---|
| Admission | ¥1,580; facility clothing included |
| Towel rental | ¥380 |
| Overnight charge, 2–5 a.m. | Additional ¥1,540 |
| Bath access, 2–5 a.m. | Closed for cleaning |
The overnight window is lounge time, not an all-night soak.
Early morning has a separate ticket
Hareniwa’s morning bath is a separate ticket, useful for an early arrival when you only need a shower and soak.
| Morning-bath detail | Current terms |
|---|---|
| Bathing hours | 5–9 a.m.; reception closes at 8:30 a.m. |
| Adult admission | ¥680 weekdays; add ¥100 on weekends and public holidays |
| Towels and facility clothing | Not included |
The facility also offers paid overnight nap booths, bookable for 6 p.m.–9 a.m. use. Each is for one person; under-18s and high-school students cannot use them. They are separate from the standard free-time ticket, so check the current booking terms if you need somewhere to rest.
Late hours do not solve the journey home. Hanayu’s last shuttle leaves well before closing; Yuraku is a 10-minute walk from Ishihara Station; and Hareniwa is about 20 minutes on foot from Kagohara Station.
