Omiya Day-Use Onsen Guide: Four Baths, Four Ways to Spend the Day

Compare four day-use baths around Omiya by price, bathing style, hours and access: SPA-HERBS, Ofuro Cafe Utatane, Seiganji Onsen and Yukemuri Yokocho.

Omiya’s hot-spring options are close enough to compare, but they do not sell the same kind of visit. Ofuro Cafe Utatane is the easiest to price by the hour. Seiganji Onsen keeps the focus on its outdoor baths and source water. SPA-HERBS makes more sense when you will use its stone sauna and lounges, while Yukemuri Yokocho Omiya pairs bathing with a late closing time and a shuttle from Omiya Station.

The practical question is how long you want to stay—and whether your route depends on a particular bus. For a wider regional shortlist, see the Kanto onsen guide or the Tokyo-to-Kanto day-trip guide.

For a quick stop, Utatane’s clock-based plan is unusually clear

Ofuro Cafe Utatane is the most flexible if you want to keep the bath to an hour or two. Adult time-ticket prices are:

Visit lengthWeekdayWeekend or holiday
60 minutes¥550 (about HK$28 / NT$112)¥650 (about HK$33 / NT$133)
90 minutes¥750 (about HK$38 / NT$153)¥850 (about HK$43 / NT$174)
120 minutes¥950 (about HK$48 / NT$194)¥1,050 (about HK$53 / NT$214)

These plans do not include a towel set or indoor wear. A towel rental is ¥380 (about HK$19 / NT$78), so bringing one can keep a short visit genuinely inexpensive.

Longer stayWeekdayWeekend or holidayNotes
Full-time admission¥1,400 (about HK$70 / NT$286)¥1,600 (about HK$80 / NT$327)Includes indoor wear
Overnight surcharge¥1,880 (about HK$95 / NT$384)Same listed surchargeApplies when staying past 2 am; under-18s cannot use the overnight period

The building is open from 10 am until 9 am the next day. The baths close for cleaning from 2–5 am and again from 9–10 am.

Those longer tickets suit an early-morning soak or a lounge visit. For a regular shower, the timed ticket is better value.

From the New Shuttle’s Tetsudo-Hakubutsukan (Daisen) Station, allow about a 10-minute walk. There is no facility shuttle. If you are combining the visit with a train-based day, the Kanto onsen options without a car help set expectations for the last leg of the trip.

Tattoo rules here are more specific than a simple yes or no. One facility-issued cover sticker costs ¥220 (about HK$11 / NT$45).

It measures 12.8 by 18.2 cm.

Staff check that it fully covers the tattoo. Anything larger than one sticker’s coverage is not admitted. If that applies, sort it out at reception rather than assuming ordinary concealer will count.

Seiganji is the focused bath; budget for towels and the bus

Visit detailCurrent listing
Adult admission¥900 (about HK$45 / NT$184) weekdays; ¥1,000 (about HK$50 / NT$204) weekends and holidays
Hours10 am–midnight; last admission 11:30 pm
IncludedShampoo and body wash; towels and indoor wear are extra
Entry rulesTattoos are not admitted; no cover-up exception is listed

Occasional maintenance closures are possible. The outdoor bathing area and clearly published spring information are the draw here. Shampoo and body wash make it a more practical post-walk stop than Shikanoyu in Nasu, where those products are prohibited; the Seiganji Onsen guide has the facility-specific details.

From Omiya Station’s West Exit, several Tobu Bus West services stop at Seiganji, followed by a one-minute walk. This is usually the simpler station-to-door route, but check the departure that fits your visit rather than treating the stop as a frequent shuttle. The alternative is an 18-minute walk from Nishi-Omiya Station. Buses from Nishi-Omiya or Miyahara involve a five-minute walk from Seiganji Chuo, and the facility warns that those services are infrequent.

SPA-HERBS earns its higher price if you will stay

Adult ticketWeekdayWeekend or holidayIncludes
Bath admission¥1,265 (about HK$64 / NT$258)¥1,520 (about HK$76 / NT$311)Bath area
Stone-sauna package¥2,000 (about HK$101 / NT$409)¥2,800 (about HK$141 / NT$572)Stone-sauna area and towels

The bath opens 9 am–1 am, with last entry at midnight; the stone-sauna area closes at midnight. SPA-HERBS is the half-day choice.

The price gap only makes sense when the extra facilities are part of the plan. The free shuttle from Omiya West Exit is useful, but it is a 28-seat, first-come service. Toro Station is a straightforward alternative at about nine minutes on foot. The published shuttle timetable has a midday gap, so check the return departure before settling in for a long session.

The bath area does not admit guests wearing diapers, and the stone-sauna area is for visitors aged 13 and over. Tattoos and body-painting stickers are prohibited regardless of size. If your plan is simply a soak followed by a train, compare its standard ticket with Utatane’s 60- or 90-minute option; the Saitama Kawagoe day-bath guide covers another rail-friendly alternative elsewhere in the prefecture.

Yukemuri Yokocho is the late-evening option—with a roadworks caveat

Adult admissionBefore 8 pmAfter 8 pm
Weekday¥980 (about HK$49 / NT$200)¥880 (about HK$44 / NT$180)
Weekend or holiday¥1,180 (about HK$59 / NT$241)¥1,080 (about HK$54 / NT$221)

The bath closes at 1 am, with last admission at 12:30 am. This is the clearest fit for a bath and meal after time in central Omiya, especially if you can use the free shuttle.

The shuttle leaves Omiya West Exit on the hour from 10 am through 10 pm; the return service leaves the facility at half past the hour. Capacity is limited, and the pick-up point can shift with traffic. Road construction on the Shin-Omiya-Ageo Road is scheduled from June 2026 through late January 2027, with possible delays. If the bus is full or your timing is tight, use public transport instead of assuming another shuttle will follow soon.

Which one fits your day?

Choose Utatane when the clock-based ticket, an early bath or a café-and-lounge visit matters more than a direct shuttle. Seiganji is the stronger match for a straightforward bath with washing products and outdoor pools, provided the bus timetable works. SPA-HERBS suits a longer stay built around the stone sauna. Yukemuri Yokocho is the late-closing choice when the Omiya shuttle aligns with your arrival and return.

For other Saitama plans, the Kumagaya Hareniwa third-place guide looks at a longer café-and-bath stay, while the Japanese onsen water-temperature guide explains how to read temperature labels before you choose a bath. A compact packing list is in the Japanese bath essentials guide.
