Hotel Kohakuen Day Use: No Walk-In Bath Ticket, but Lunch Plans Include the Onsen
Kohakuen has no stand-alone day-bath ticket. Daytime access requires a meal or group booking for four; nearby Nagomi no Yu is a separate bath.

If all you want is a quick bath, Hotel Kohakuen’s main building is not the right stop: its FAQ says it has no day-use admission. The inn does accept daytime guests for booked meals and group occasions, with bathing included in those plans. That distinction matters if an older search result makes the hotel look like a regular walk-in onsen.
The hotel’s daytime plan is built around a meal
Kohakuen lists banquet and meal plans for groups of four to 40. Listed per-person prices include consumption tax; a separate bathing tax applies to each adult.

The meal and bathing are arranged together, not sold as a low-cost bathing pass. Some plan schedules differ by occasion, so confirm the meal time and bathing window at booking.
The hotel’s public-bath timetable is primarily a lodging schedule, with morning and evening periods and a gender changeover. Do not assume a meal booking lets you use the bath at any time shown for overnight guests. Ask the hotel to confirm your group’s actual bathing window.
Nagomi no Yu is a different facility
The name causes some confusion: Nagomi no Yu is a municipal bath in Isawa, not a second entrance to Kohakuen. It reopened after a full renovation on October 1, 2025. The city lists a low-temperature sauna, reclining bath, bubble bath, family bath, nursing room and rest spaces.
As of the city’s March 2026 listing, Nagomi no Yu is open 10 am–9 pm, with last entry at 8:30 pm. It closes Wednesdays (or the following day when a holiday falls on Wednesday) and on December 31 and January 1. Visitors from outside Fuefuki City pay ¥800; children, older adults and visitors with disabilities pay ¥400 under the published categories. A two-hour family bath is ¥4,000 for non-residents. Check the city listing before going, as municipal facility schedules can change.
