Hotel Sekitei’s listed day-use offer is a short afternoon window: 2–6 pm, ¥1,650 per adult. The inn association adds “please enquire,” so confirm same-day admission before travelling. The hotel’s own site describes its baths as source-flowing, but the rooftop outdoor bath has one pool and is divided between men’s and women’s hours for overnight guests. That schedule does not tell day visitors which side they can use.
What the day-use listing covers
The association lists use of the communal bath, basic amenities and the ¥1,650 admission. It does not promise that the rooftop outdoor bath is available to every day visitor during the 2–6 pm window. The hotel’s March 2026 renovation notice confirms there is one public outdoor bath; overnight guests use it on a schedule that assigns men until 11:45 pm and women from midnight to 10 am.
If the outdoor bath is the reason for going, call the hotel at 055-262-4155 and ask whether day visitors of your bathing side can use it on the date and time you plan to visit. The question is more specific than whether the hotel “has an outdoor bath.”
The hotel also lists a reserved private outdoor bath, priced at ¥3,000 before tax for 40 minutes. The public information does not clearly confirm that a day visitor can add it to the standard bath ticket, so ask about eligibility and availability separately.
The association’s day-use listing includes basic bath amenities, but does not spell out a separate towel charge or confirm the private bath as an add-on. Treat ¥1,650 as the published public-bath admission and ask which amenities and pools are included when you call. The private rooftop bath is listed at ¥3,000 before tax (¥3,300 including tax) for 40 minutes; its price alone does not establish day-visitor eligibility.
The spring and the view
The hotel and inn association describe the water as a weakly alkaline simple spring supplied by source flow. The site does not publish a current detailed table for source temperature, pH or treatment by individual pool. Its rooftop position gives the baths views across the surrounding mountains and Kofu Basin, but an afternoon visit may not reach the evening view often associated with the hotel. Day-use admission ends at 6 pm.
The renovated outdoor baths reopened in March 2026 after construction that began the previous autumn. The hotel says the update added barrier-free design. That is useful facility information, but it should not be confused with a guarantee that every bath is included in the day-use ticket.
The association identifies the water as a weakly alkaline simple hot spring, while the hotel describes source-flowing water. Neither current page provides a detailed, pool-by-pool treatment table, pH or exact source temperature. Keep the published source-flow claim, but do not fill those gaps with a town-wide average. Getting there
Hotel Sekitei is roughly a 15-minute walk from Isawa-Onsen Station; the hotel also lists a five-minute drive and station pickup. Confirm whether pickup is available to day visitors rather than assuming the lodging transfer applies. If walking is not practical, make that part of the same call that confirms admission and bath access.
