Hotel Hatta Day Use: The Bath Is Still Listed as Suspended
Hotel Hatta’s official FAQ still lists day bathing as suspended; call before travelling instead of relying on the struck-through ¥1,100 offer.

Hotel Hatta is not closed. Its lodging and guest baths remain part of the hotel’s current offer. What is suspended is the separate day-use bath: the official FAQ says “day-use bathing is currently suspended,” while the previous ¥1,100 rate and 1–5 pm window are crossed out below it. A local hot-spring association’s current day-use directory does not list the hotel either.
For a visitor who only wants a soak, that is the key answer. Do not travel on the assumption that the old admission price is still available, and do not read the guest-bath schedule as a public opening time.
Can you book only the private wine bath?
Hotel Hatta advertises a reserved wine bath at ¥3,300 for 45 minutes, with six daily slots listed at 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 pm; each session is listed for up to ten people. The booking information appears in the hotel’s lodging context; it does not clearly state that non-resident day visitors can reserve the bath by itself. Since the regular day-use product remains suspended, this is not a confirmed workaround. Call the hotel before making plans if you want to ask about a one-off private booking.
The wine bath is a guest facility using the hotel’s hot-spring water with wine extract. Its existence does not make the day-use bath available, and its guest bathing schedule should not be applied to walk-in visitors.
For an overnight stay
The hotel’s current onsen page describes an alkaline simple spring at pH 9.2. It labels the garden outdoor bath and guest-room baths as source-flowing. Indoor communal pools and the seventh-floor panoramic wine bath use fresh spring water combined with circulation filtration.
The page does not give a current source temperature, fixed bath temperature or flow rate. Those figures should not be inferred from the spring classification. These overnight details do not change the day-use status.
The old crossed-out offer was more specific than the headline price: ¥1,100 for 90 minutes between 1 and 5 pm, with a face towel included.
Bath-towel rental was ¥300. The offer is historical information only. The current FAQ’s suspension notice takes precedence over every detail in that retired offer.
Hotel Hatta is about a 15-minute walk or five-minute drive from Isawa-Onsen Station. The hotel offers a pre-booked guest shuttle from the station at 3, 4 and 5 pm. Those transfers are tied to the lodging schedule, not a day-use shuttle.
If you are looking for a public bath instead, start with the Isawa day-use comparison. Check the hotel’s official FAQ again on the day you travel; a suspension notice can change, but the old crossed-out price is not evidence that it has.
