Marushinso in Kitago: Day-Use Hot Spring Hours, Price and Access
Marushinso’s compact day bath costs ¥600 for adults, with last entry at 7 p.m.; it suits a short inn-style soak rather than a spa day.
Checked: September 27, 2026
Marushinso makes a good stop after a walk around Obi or before driving back towards the Nichinan coast. Its draw is the setting: a working hot-spring inn rather than a large public spa, with an indoor bath and an outdoor bath. A bubble bath is also listed among the facility’s public baths.

What the bath is like on paper
Marushinso’s official site describes the spring as drawn from deep underground and poured into the baths. It gives a source temperature of 51°C for Kitago Onsen. That number refers to the spring at its source; it should not be read as the temperature of the bathing pools. The city’s current Kitago-area listing names an indoor public bath, a bubble bath and an outdoor bath.
The inn’s bathing page presents separate indoor and outdoor baths for men and women. It does not lay out a long list of sauna or spa facilities, which helps set expectations: plan for a simple soak, not an afternoon of rotating between several zones. The “Bepin no Yu” name is the inn’s own description of the spring and its skin feel; no medical or cosmetic result is guaranteed by a bath visit.
Timing matters more than the ticket
With last admission at 7 pm, Marushinso works best around lunchtime or in the afternoon. It is an awkward last stop after a full day on the coast if the drive back through Nichinan leaves you arriving near closing. Give yourself enough time to wash and bathe before the last-entry cutoff rather than relying on the 7:50 pm closing time.
The ¥600 adult ticket is the ordinary bath entry. The inn’s site also has a separate day-use meal plan, but its terms and availability can vary, so confirm directly if you want to combine lunch with bathing. There is no need to assume food is part of the bath ticket.
Reaching the inn
Marushinso is at 3619-2 Otsufu-ko, Kitago-cho, Nichinan. The inn lists a five-minute taxi ride from JR Kitago Station and free parking for 30 cars. From the station, this is not a walk-out-of-the-gates bath; arrange a taxi or drive, and think about the return ride before you leave the station area.
The inn is one of three distinct day-use options in Kitago. Sancherry Kitago is a renovated municipal bath with a sauna, while Hotel Nichinan Kitago Resort sits up the hill and adds panoramic bathing and bedrock-bath rooms. The Kitago day-trip comparison puts the three in context if you are choosing around a larger Nichinan drive.
