Hinata no Yado Nichinan: Day-Bath Hours, the Midday Gap and What to Confirm

Plan Hinata no Yado’s 6–9 a.m. or noon-onward day bath near Obi; confirm the unpublished admission price and private-family-bath availability.

The hotel’s strongest practical feature is its schedule. Day bathing runs 6:00–9:00 a.m. and 12:00–10:00 p.m.; last entry is 9:00 p.m. The three-hour closure between sessions catches people who see “opens at six” and assume the bath is available all morning. If you miss the early window, use the time for Obi or lunch rather than waiting at the entrance.

The property is in Hoshikura, near Obi. The hotel lists the station as about five minutes away by car and provides 196 free parking spaces. That is a straightforward stop on a drive through Nichinan, but not a walk-from-the-platform bath. The official access page does not present a regular day-visitor shuttle, so arrange a taxi or another connection if travelling by train.

A varied bath, with a natural spring analysis

Hinata no Yado lists more than ten baths across the men’s and women’s areas, including outdoor and jet baths, a walking pool, cold bath and sauna. The official analysis gives a source temperature of 33.4°C, pH 7.4 and a chloride spring with sodium, chloride and bicarbonate components. The source is not drinkable. The hotel does not publish a pool-by-pool table showing heating, circulation or disinfection, so the spring’s presence should not be stretched into a claim that every tub is a source-flow bath.

Nagomi no Yu is a private family bath that requires booking, but the hotel gives no public rate or full terms. Call for the price and availability. The hotel also gives no clear tattoo rule, including for private-bath guests, so ask before reserving if this affects you.

The day-use price is not clearly posted

The hotel’s bath information gives hours and spring details, but no regular day-use price. A Miyazaki Prefecture Golden Week listing for 2026 quoted ¥1,000 for adults, ¥1,050 for adults from outside Nichinan and ¥500 for children. Those were holiday rates, not a standing tariff; ask the hotel for the price on your date, including any child or private-bath charge.

For a drive that includes Obi, Hinata no Yado fits better than doubling back north to Kitago. If you are deciding between the two routes from Obi or Aburatsu, see After Obi or Aburatsu: Kitago or Kushima?.
