If you have already decided that the bath must be private and attached to your room, the key question is how much room choice you want. Kaze no Mori keeps the bathing setup consistent across its detached rooms. Bettei Itsuki has individually named rooms with different layouts and bath designs, which gives you more to compare but also makes a quick booking riskier.
Kaze no Mori: the same two-bath setup across room categories
Kaze no Mori’s room pages describe every detached room as having both an indoor bath and an open-air bath. The inn lists six categories, from Standard through Royal Suite, but the basic private-bathing setup remains the same. An upgrade is about living space, room arrangement and plan details—not about unlocking an open-air bath.
The official site describes the baths as private, 100% source-fed natural hot spring. It also lists its spring as a sodium chloride–bicarbonate type and reports pH 9.0. The room-bath notes say water may be added, so “source-fed” should not be read as “never adjusted.” If you book here, confirm the exact room category and included meals, then decide whether the larger layout is worth the difference.
Bettei Itsuki: compare the room, not just the property name
Bettei Itsuki’s detached rooms also come with their own hot-spring bath, but the shape of the bath changes by room. The official room list includes indoor, semi-open-air and open-air arrangements, alongside different floor plans and views. A listing that simply says “private bath” will not tell you whether the tub is fully outdoors or how the room is laid out.
That variety is useful if you know what you want. Choose by the bath form first, then check the room description for stairs, separate indoor and outdoor tubs, and the route between sleeping and bathing areas. Bettei Itsuki works better for someone willing to compare named rooms than for a traveler who wants to pick a property and stop there.

Both are outside the station-front hotel cluster and work best when you have planned how to reach the property.
