Komparu-yu in Osaki: A Quiet Bona Sauna and a Tatami Rest Room
Komparu-yu is an Osaki sento with a quiet Bona sauna, cold bath and tatami lounge. Adult entry is ¥600; sauna access costs another ¥600.
Komparu-yu keeps its sauna deliberately low-key. There is no television or background music, and the heater sits beneath the benches rather than taking centre stage. After a sauna round, the cold bath and a place to sit are close at hand. The combination feels made for an unhurried stop after work, not a performance or a long list of spa attractions.
What the sauna is—and what it is not
Komparu-yu uses a Bona-style sauna, with the heat source under the seating. The room is dim, quiet and free of a TV or BGM. It does not run a regular löyly or fan show, so there is no need to time your visit around a scheduled blast of heat. Recent visitor readings have put the sauna around 88–90°C and the cold bath near 16–17°C, but those are snapshots, not fixed promises.
The two bathing pools offer different temperatures, with a cold bath alongside the sauna. There is no outdoor-air area and no natural spring. The bathing sequence is simple: wash, choose a warmer or gentler pool, sauna if you have added it, then cool down and rest inside. If a garden bath or a dozen different pools are essential, this is not the venue for that kind of visit.

From Osaki Station, Togoshi Station or Togoshi-ginza Station, allow about eight minutes on foot. There is no dedicated car park, although a paid lot is about 30 seconds away. The site confirms that tattoos are allowed and that young children are welcome with a parent.
The small tatami rest room gives the visit a different finish from a purely functional bathhouse. It has a TV, manga and magazines, plus picture books and toys for children. Craft beer and soft drinks are available after bathing; the beer selection changes. The operator also runs Suehiroyu in Oimachi, but the two locations have their own feel—compare Suehiroyu’s Bona sauna and beer counter if you will be staying closer to the station.
