A bath that fits the Naruto route
Naruto’s choices sit between the city and Naruto Park. A bath near the park avoids retracing your route after the Otsuka Museum of Art or Uzushio promenade; the larger complex is easier to reach from the express-bus stop.
| Facility | Admission or package | Bath and setting | Access and timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Naruto Aratae no Yu | Adults: ¥800 weekdays; ¥1,000 weekends and Japanese public holidays | Indoor and outdoor baths, sauna and natural-spring bath. Calcium-sodium chloride cold mineral spring: 21.4°C, pH 6.9, flow 212 litres per minute. | 8 a.m.–midnight; last admission 11 p.m. About 7 minutes on foot from Highway Naruto stop or 20 minutes from Naruto Station. Parking for 176 cars. |
| Bay Resort Hotel Naruto Kaigetsu | Adults ¥1,000; children ¥700; preschool children free. Face and bath towels included. | Bath with a direct view of the Onaruto Bridge and Naruto Strait. Its bath page does not publish a spring analysis. | Day bathing 11 a.m.–10 p.m.; located in Naruto Park. Best fit if you are already visiting the park. |
| AoAwo Naruto Resort | Lunch buffet, fishing pond and bath: adults ¥5,000. Seasonal Naruto Kintoki harvest, lunch and bath: ¥5,500. | Half-day packages rather than a simple bath ticket; the two baths follow different weekday schedules. | Harvest package listed for September–November 2026. Reserve by 5 p.m. the day before; some dates are excluded. |
Aratae no Yu is the clearest choice for a natural spring and late opening. Kaigetsu trades spring detail for its bridge-side location. AoAwo makes more sense when you want lunch and activities as part of the outing.
Carry the trip south to Komatsushima
The Komatsushima branch of Aratae no Yu is a natural-spring complex with a more local feel than the resort baths around Naruto Park. Its Kincho no Yu source is an alkaline simple hot spring at 30.2°C and pH 8.9.
| Hours and access | Admission |
|---|---|
| 9 a.m.–11 p.m.; last admission 10:30 p.m. Closed the third Tuesday of each month. | Published rates are inconsistent. Check the ticket machine or operator’s price page for the current charge. |
Awa-Akaishi Station is about a 10-minute walk away; Tatekura Temple is around 15 minutes on foot.
Hinomine Onsen is the opposite end of the spectrum: a neighborhood sento rather than a resort-style spring facility. It reopened in March 2025 after a prolonged closure. Current directory listings put its hours at 4 pm to 9:30 pm, with irregular closing days announced through the bathhouse’s social channels; the standard adult sento fare in Tokushima is ¥450. Check the bathhouse’s own account or call before making a special trip, since this is not an all-day fallback.
