Kannon Sakura no Sato: Baths, Pool and Park in Miyakonojo
A bath-only visit costs ¥420 at Kannon Sakura no Sato; the onsen-and-pool ticket is ¥630, with age and lesson restrictions at the pool.
Checked: September 27, 2026
Kannon Sakura no Sato shares its setting with Kannonike Park, so it is easiest to think of it as the wash-up stop after outdoor play. The bath area has 13 types of pools, including an outdoor bath, sauna, walking bath and electric bath. Its alkaline simple spring is a bonus; the useful part of the setup is being able to add a swim or a park visit without changing locations.
Pick the right ticket
| Ticket | Adult | Elementary-school child | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bath, one visit | ¥420 | ¥210 | Bath entry |
| Bath day ticket | ¥630 | ¥310 | Bath entry with the option to rest and return during the same visit |
| Indoor pool, one visit | ¥420 | ¥210 | Pool entry |
| Bath and pool, one visit | ¥630 | ¥310 | One visit to both facilities |
Preschool children may bathe free with a parent. The adult bath day ticket and the combined bath-and-pool ticket share the ¥630 price, so name the product you want at purchase.
Pool rules matter with younger children: swimsuits and caps are required; children aged nine and under need an adult, with up to three children per adult. Children under three and those still in diapers cannot use the pool, even in swim diapers. On weekday lesson periods, some lanes and the slide are unavailable; on non-holiday Thursdays and Fridays, children’s pool use ends at 5 p.m. Tattoos are not permitted in the pool.
A private bath is not part of the regular offer
There are care and welfare baths, but these are reserved for guests who meet specific eligibility criteria and need assistance. They cost ¥1,570 for 90 or 120 minutes, with reservations accepted up to a month ahead. The user must come with a caregiver. This is not a bookable couple’s or family bath for general visitors.
The free large rest hall works for a short break. Paid private rest rooms cost ¥840 for two hours in a six-mat room or ¥1,050 for two hours in an eight-mat room. They provide a private place to rest, not a private bathing pool.
Current closure dates and access
The bath usually closes Wednesdays, but the operator’s October 2026 notice adds Saturday, October 10, for an event; the other October closures are October 7, 14, 21 and 28. The pool is open 9 a.m.–9 p.m., last entry 8 p.m.; the baths run 7 a.m.–9 p.m., with last entry at 8 p.m. Outdoor park attractions follow separate weather and seasonal schedules.
By car, the park is about ten minutes from Miyakonojo Interchange. JR Yamanokuchi Station is around six minutes away by taxi, and the Takasaki sightseeing bus stops at the entrance. If a standard private family bath matters more than the park and pool, see Yupo-Po and Laspa Takazaki. For another setting with a very different spring and a separate lounge ticket, read the Aoi-dake Onsen guide.
