TAOYA Gero: What the All-Inclusive Stay Covers
TAOYA Gero keeps meals, lounge service and two bath buildings on site. The baths are heated and circulated, and the shuttle needs advance arrangement.

TAOYA works best when the hotel itself is part of the plan. Meals, lounge drinks and several on-site activities are included, while the station is about a ten-minute drive away. It is less convenient if you want to wander into the central streets between meals or prefer a small ryokan within walking distance of the station.
Know which bath building is open to you
The hotel has two public bathing areas: Shoun no Yu in a separate building on the second floor, and Shinsou no Yu in the main hotel basement. Their hours switch by gender. In the evening, Shoun is for women from 3 p.m. to midnight while Shinsou is for men; the next morning from 5 to 10, the arrangement reverses. To use both, guests need to bathe once in the evening and again in the morning.
TAOYA describes its public bath water as heated and circulated rather than source-fed flow-through. The listed Superior room with an outdoor bath also uses heated water, not natural onsen water. Tattoos are generally not permitted in the public baths; the hotel allows its own cover stickers only when they fully cover the tattoo. In the family bath, children aged seven or older, or at least 120 cm tall, must use the bath matching their gender.
The published analysis says the water meets Japan’s Hot Springs Act through its fluoride content, but it is not classified as a therapeutic spring. TAOYA describes it as a low-tonicity alkaline cold mineral spring; do not substitute the alkaline simple spring classification common elsewhere in Gero. One semi-open-air bath is listed at about 41–42°C, a bathing-point reading rather than the source temperature.
That age-and-height rule is worth checking for families who expect to use the shared facilities. The hotel also lists baby cots, baby baths and chairs, baby food, children's tableware and high chairs; ask the hotel which items can be reserved for your room or meal time.
What is included—and what to check
The all-inclusive plan covers buffet meals, lounge drinks and snacks, afternoon tea, alcohol with dinner, night snacks, ice cream, massage chairs, billiards and some karaoke use. Some services remain extra, including shop purchases, electric-vehicle charging and certain late karaoke slots.
Meal periods are scheduled: dinner is typically served 5–9:30 p.m. in 90-minute sittings, and breakfast 7–10 a.m. in 60-minute sittings. The hotel may adjust the seating times, so use the schedule supplied for your reservation.
The station shuttle takes around ten minutes to the main building and about fifteen to the annex. Reserve by 6 p.m. on the day before arrival; same-day requests are not accepted.
Published station departures are 1:55, 2:50, 3:40, 4:30 and 5:20 p.m.; return departures from the hotel are 9:50, 10:40 and 11:30 a.m. Check the current timetable when arranging the ride. The hotel also has about 120 parking spaces.
