Yubune Sodegaura: An Easy Onsen Stop by the Station
Yubune Sodegaura sits five minutes from the station. Check bath and bedrock-spa prices, natural spring details, hours, parking and family or tattoo rules.

Natural Onsen Yubune Sodegaura is built for an easy visit, not a grand detour. It sits inside Yurimachi Sodegaura Station Mall, about five minutes on foot from the north exit of JR Sodegaura Station. If you are travelling the Uchibo Line or spending the day around Kisarazu and the Tokyo Bay coast, it is one of the simpler places to fit in a proper bath.
Choose the ticket by how long you will stay. Both admission plans include the natural spring baths and public-bath sauna; the upgrade adds the bedrock area, wear and a laying towel.
| Adult plan | Weekday | Weekend / holiday |
|---|---|---|
| Bath admission | ¥1,050 | ¥1,250 |
| Bath + bedrock area | ¥1,650 | ¥1,950 |
| Towel set | +¥360 | +¥360 |
| Bath-only visit without towels | ¥1,410 total | ¥1,610 total |
Special rates may apply on dates such as Obon and around New Year, so check the official price page before visiting.
A bathhouse that works for mixed groups
Men’s and women’s bathing areas are separate. Afterwards, friends or couples can meet in the shared lounge, eat, read from the roughly 4,500 manga volumes or use the work area. Recliners and laptop-friendly seats make it easy for one person to keep reading while someone else takes another sauna round.
The paid bedrock floor adds several mineral-stone rooms, a self-loyly room, a cooling room and occasional heat events. There is no need to buy it just to use a sauna: the regular bathing admission already includes the public-bath sauna. For a quick soak, skip the upgrade. It becomes easier to justify if you expect to stay for three hours or more and will actually use the shared relaxation space.
What the spring label does—and does not—tell you
Yubune identifies its spring as an iodine-bearing sodium-chloride hot spring: highly saline, weakly alkaline and low-temperature. The facility also has carbonated, ceramic-pot, reclining, jet and other functional baths. Those pools are not all described as spring-water baths, so choose the natural-spring bath if that is the part you came for.
The spring is a low-temperature, weakly alkaline iodine-bearing sodium-chloride source, but the public material does not give enough current detail to assign a precise source temperature, pH or flow rate. The bathhouse also does not publish a complete bath-by-bath treatment table. Its “natural onsen” name is not evidence that every tub is spring-fed, nor that all of them use the same supply method.
Practical limits
Yubune is open from 9 a.m. to midnight, with last admission at 11:30 p.m. The bedrock area closes at 11:30 p.m. and stops admitting guests at 11 p.m. There is no overnight sleeping facility, so the recliners and tatami rest area should not be mistaken for hotel accommodation.
The mall has free parking, with up to about 600 spaces. Guests with tattoos, including body-art stickers, are not admitted; the facility does not offer a cover-sticker exception. Children who have not outgrown diapers may use the baby bath provided, and mixed-gender bathing is limited to young children. Check the current admission and facility rules if you are visiting with children.
For a side-by-side look at the other Tokyo Bay options, see Sodegaura, Ryugujo and Kajiya compared. Yubune is the simplest pick when rail access and a predictable short visit matter more than a resort day.
