Do you need to bathe after 11 pm?
At Kosumosu, guests in the main building can use two shared private bath sets on a first-come basis. Each set includes an indoor and an outdoor section. They operate from 3–11 pm and 6:30–10 am, so a late arrival or a long dinner can leave a narrow window. Kosumosu’s detached rooms solve that: each has its own open-air hot-spring bath, available around the clock.
Hananomai offers a different trade-off. Its standard Japanese rooms do not have a bath in the room, but guests can use the shared private-use baths. The inn lists bathing hours through 9:30 am, with private baths used when vacant. That leaves more room for a late-night soak, although it still does not reserve a specific time for you. Guests who want to avoid waiting can choose one of the two detached rooms with a private outdoor bath.
The room categories are not interchangeable
Kosumosu’s main-building rooms and detached rooms serve different priorities. The shared baths may be enough if you plan to bathe once or twice within their opening hours. The detached room upgrade buys a private open-air bath that remains available overnight.
Hananomai’s four standard Japanese rooms are upstairs and require stairs. The next category has an indoor bath; only the two detached rooms promise a private open-air bath. If you are traveling with someone who finds stairs difficult, check the room location before choosing the lower rate.
Both inns are roughly a 15-minute walk from the station. Kosumosu asks guests to call after they arrive so it can arrange pickup; Hananomai asks guests to request pickup by the previous day. Neither should be treated as an unscheduled car service, and Hananomai does not offer airport pickup.
