This is a good one to keep in mind if you are already around Teradacho, eastern Tennoji or western Ikuno and want a regular public bath with more than one heat option. Its dry and steam rooms make it easier for a group with different sauna preferences to share the same stop. There is no published natural-spring analysis, so choose it for the facilities and location, not the “Onsen” in the name.

Hours and the ¥600 baseline

The Osaka Public Bathhouse Association’s listing was updated on June 25, 2026.

The standard Osaka sento fares are ¥600 for adults, ¥200 for elementary-school children and ¥100 for younger children. The facility listing confirms dry and wet saunas but does not specify a separate surcharge. Recent sauna-facility listings describe sauna use as included with ordinary admission, though the association has no price line. Treat ¥600 as the basic budget and check the counter notice if the sauna charge is decisive.

Dry heat, steam and a few other baths

The dry sauna is a conventional stone-heater room rather than a facility marketed around automatic bursts of steam. Its steam room offers a different, more humid feel. The association also lists a cold bath, medicinal bath, electric bath and jet bath, so the visit still works if you skip the sauna.

Visitors have recently reported the cold bath around 18–20°C, but the temperature is not an official fixed setting. The dry room is described as a standard convective stone-heater sauna, with music rather than timed high-pressure steam bursts; the steam room gives heat-sensitive companions a gentler alternative. Treat these as the character of the rooms, not a promise of a particular temperature on every visit.

No permanent sauna or plunge temperature is published by the bathhouse. Online readings vary by date and room; they are useful as recent snapshots, not guaranteed settings. There is one parking space, which is handy for a local visit but easy to fill.

The late-closing alternative nearby is Shusse-yu, about five minutes from Teradacho and open until 12:30 a.m. It has a longer window and a different bathhouse setup. Choose Minami Ikuno for the dry-and-steam split and earlier evening; choose Shusse-yu if you are arriving after 10 p.m. or need more time after dinner.

There is also a dedicated sauna venue, Uchu Sauna Teradacho, with a different price and format from an ordinary public bath. It makes more sense when sauna time itself is the main activity. No clear tattoo policy is published for Minami Ikuno, so check directly if you need to know before arriving.

For more baths in the ward, browse the Ikuno sento guide. If you want a more specialized sauna rather than a neighbourhood bathhouse, the nearby Megane Onsen guide covers a different setup.
