Nobeha no Yu Tsuruhashi: Hot Springs, Sauna and a Family Bath
Nobeha no Yu’s standard ticket covers public baths and sauna; its clothed sauna area and 11 private family baths cost extra, and tattoos are barred.
Nobeha no Yu Tsuruhashi is a full evening stop near Tsuruhashi Station, not a quick bath squeezed between trains. Its outdoor area includes a source-water standing bath around 32°C, a source-water rock bath around 41°C and individual ceramic tubs. A separate high-concentration carbonated bath is about 38°C. The temperatures give you a real choice between a cooler soak and warmer pools; the site does not describe every tub as spring water.
What the basic ticket includes
The standard ticket covers the public baths, outdoor baths and public sauna. Shampoo and bathing essentials are provided; towels are extra. The table uses the facility’s published age bands: adults are junior-high-school age and older, while the child rate covers elementary-school age and under.
| Item | Weekdays | Weekends and public holidays | What’s included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bath admission — adult | ¥1,000 | ¥1,100 | Public baths, outdoor baths and public sauna |
| Bath admission — child | ¥550 | ¥610 | Same bathing areas; child rate is for elementary-school age and under |
| Face towel | ¥180 | ¥180 | Purchase |
| Bath towel | ¥180 | ¥180 | Rental |
| Yakuseki Hanjinbo clothed sauna — adult | ¥1,080 | ¥1,180 | Sauna wear and bath towel; bath admission is also required |
| Yakuseki Hanjinbo clothed sauna — child | ¥680 | ¥750 | Sauna wear and bath towel; bath admission is also required |
The clothed sauna is an add-on, not a substitute for bath admission. A third sauna outfit costs an extra ¥200. The main baths stop admitting guests at 1 a.m.; the clothed sauna area stops admitting guests at midnight.
The public saunas are included in the standard bath ticket. The current bath guide describes loyly saunas on both sides and an additional salt sauna in the women’s area. The source-water baths are specific pools, not the whole complex: the standing bath is around 32°C and marked as flowing spring water, while the rock bath is around 41°C; a separate nano-carbonated bath is around 38°C. A temperature attached to one tub should not be generalized to every bath.
Private family baths have a specific rule
There are 11 reservable private family rooms. They use source water and are available to family members only; couples who are not family cannot book them.
| Private-room detail | Current listing |
|---|---|
| Starting rate | ¥4,000 per room for one hour (about HK$201 / NT$817) |
| Who can book | Family members under Osaka City regulations |
| Bath admission | Check whether it is charged separately for the selected room |
Room-specific rates and availability are shown on the live reservation page.
Babies may bathe with a guardian. Children below elementary-school age need an accompanying adult, and mixed bathing is not allowed for school-age children. This makes the family rooms a practical option for eligible families, but they are not a workaround for the tattoo policy: guests with tattoos, tattoo stickers or painted designs are refused entry to the facility.
| Extra cost | Amount |
|---|---|
| Face towel, purchase | ¥180 |
| Bath towel, rental | ¥180 |
| Adult bath plus both towel choices, weekday | ¥1,360 |
| Adult bath plus both towel choices, weekend or holiday | ¥1,460 |
| 11-visit pass | ¥10,000, plus ¥200 membership; expires after six months and may have date surcharges |
The pass is unlikely to pay off for a short stay.
A late opening, with earlier cutoffs for some services
The facility runs from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m., with last admission for bathing at 1 a.m. The clothed sauna area closes to new guests at midnight. Those are different deadlines: arriving shortly before 1 a.m. may get you into the bath area, but not into every part of the complex.
For dinner in Tsuruhashi followed by bathing, allow a couple of hours if you want to use the sauna and sit down for food. A shorter visit can still cover the main baths, but the extra rooms and relaxation areas are what distinguish this from a neighborhood sento.
JR Tsuruhashi Station is about a five-minute walk away. There are 600 parking spaces listed, free for facility users. Bring the locker key with you: its barcode is used for purchases inside, then settled at reception when you leave.
If the group is not eligible for a private family room, or anyone has a tattoo, choose another facility before setting out. For a less expensive natural-spring alternative in southern Osaka, compare Spa Suminoe. The Nobeha Tsuruhashi vs Spa Suminoe comparison lays out the cost, spring and late-night trade-offs. Nobeha is about five minutes from JR Tsuruhashi and lists around 600 free parking spaces; shuttle details belong to the Habikino main branch, not this city location.
For another city comparison, Naniwa no Yu is about ¥100 cheaper at both weekday and weekend adult rates, with a simpler visit and no equivalent family-bath lineup. Nobeha’s extra cost pays off when you want its specific bath-temperature range, clothed sauna or family rooms; it is harder to justify if you plan only a quick soak.
The source guide’s seven-point scorecard gives Nobeha 90/100 for bathing comfort, 95 for variety, 80 for upkeep, 85 for atmosphere, 60 for quiet, 85 for access and 90 for value. These are editorial impressions, not measured ratings; the facility-specific bath details are also available on the Tsuruhashi bath profile.
For other ways to spend a long soak, compare Spa World, Solaniwa Onsen and Umekita Onsen Ren in central Osaka, or read about the separate Nobeha Habikino main branch before mixing up its access or shuttle details. The day-use onsen guide is the wider shortlist.
