Compare Shinwa-no-Yu by Aoshima Station with ANA’s ocean-view hotel bath; opening times and the airport shuttle depend on your date.

Checked: September 27, 2026

If you are walking around Aoshima or arriving by train, Shinwa-no-Yu is the straightforward stop: it is about three minutes from Aoshima Station and opens at 6 a.m. ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki is a better match if your day is built around the seaside hotel area or you want the view across the water. Its day-use bath opens at 11 a.m.

Want the lower standard admission priceShinwa-no-YuAdult admission is currently ¥700; ANA’s listed day-use rate is ¥1,100.

ANA’s online coupon lists ¥800 for adults, only ¥100 above Shinwa-no-yu’s ¥700 standard price. That changes the comparison only when the coupon is valid; busy periods are excluded and the hotel may decline it depending on bookings. Without the coupon, the standard-price gap is ¥400.

The airport shuttle is a short-term route, not a year-round link

Miyazaki Kotsu’s direct airport–Aoshima shuttle is scheduled to run from July 1 through September 30, 2026. It takes about 20 minutes and costs ¥700 one way for adults or ¥350 for children. Check the service notice before travelling; the dates are part of the service, not just a seasonal timetable update.

The ANA stop has a direction-specific rule. On the airport-to-Aoshima trip, it is drop-off only. On the Aoshima-to-airport trip, it is pick-up only. You can use it to go from the airport directly to the hotel or to ride from the hotel area back to the airport, but you cannot treat the ANA stop as a normal two-way stop for a quick transfer between the hotel and Aoshima.

After September 30, use the regular rail or bus options instead. If you take the train from the airport, check the JR connection via Tayoshi for your date. Aoshima Station is a three-minute walk from Shinwa-no-Yu; for ANA, the hotel lists a train transfer at Tayoshi and a seven-minute walk from Kodomonokuni. Check the current timetable rather than carrying the limited shuttle schedule into October.

Miyazaki Kotsu lists nine departures from the airport and eight from Aoshima; full buses may leave passengers behind. Children through elementary-school age pay ¥350 one way, against the adult ¥700 fare.

Admission hours and the bath itself

Shinwa-no-Yu is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., with last entry at 9:30 p.m. Adult admission is ¥700, and the ticket allows repeat entry during that day’s opening hours. It has indoor and outdoor baths, a dry sauna, a cold-water bath and two bookable private baths. It occasionally closes for maintenance; check the current schedule before setting out.

ANA’s day-use bath is listed from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., last entry 9 p.m.; adult admission is ¥1,100, with towels rented separately. The resort’s current page also lists periodic cleaning that can change access, including a revised schedule beginning in October 2026. Verify the date-specific notice before making this the only bath stop in your plan.

For an early start or a simple train-and-walk outing, choose Shinwa-no-Yu. ANA makes more sense when the ocean-view hotel area is already on your route and you can arrive after the day-use opening time.

Both facilities describe natural hot-spring water. Shinwa-no-Yu identifies its cold bath as source water and its outdoor bath as flow-through. ANA labels the waterfall shower source-flow; the other tubs’ water handling is unconfirmed. Neither facility publishes a fixed bathing-pool temperature.
