ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki Onsen: Day-Use Baths, Prices and Access
Check ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki’s ¥1,100 day-use bath, ocean views, late opening and coupon conditions near Kodomonokuni Station.
Checked: September 27, 2026
The resort’s Aoshima Densetsu-no-yu is a good fit when the bath itself is part of the coastal outing. The public bathing area has a panoramic bath, an outdoor-style rock bath, sauna, cold plunge, waterfall shower and traditional Shigaraki ceramic tubs. The waterfall shower is the feature specifically identified as source-flow; that label should not be extended to every pool in the complex.
| What matters most | How ANA fits |
|---|---|
| Ocean scenery plus a full sauna-to-cold-bath circuit | Strong fit; the public bath gathers those facilities under one roof. |
| The lowest admission around Aoshima | Not the budget pick; Shinwa-no-yu is cheaper. |
| A bath before 11 a.m. | Poor fit; day-use entry starts at 11. |
| A private bath for your group | Not available as day-use here; compare the separate private-bath venues. |
| Tattoos | Not permitted under the resort’s published rules. |
| Source-flow water in every tub | Not verified; only the waterfall shower is specifically described as free-flowing. |
The standard ticket and the coupon are two different prices
| Day-use ticket | Price | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Adult | ¥1,100 | Standard rate; day use 11 a.m.–10 p.m., last entry 9 p.m. |
| Child | ¥550 | For school-age children; children aged three and under enter free with a guardian |
| University student | ¥650 | Show student ID at the bath reception |
| Online coupon | ¥800 adult / ¥500 child | Show the coupon at the third-floor onsen desk; busy periods are excluded and use can be refused depending on reservations |
The coupon remains visible on the hotel’s site, but its terms allow changes without notice. Treat ¥1,100 as the dependable adult budget and the coupon as a possible saving, not a guaranteed walk-up price. Towels are rented separately. Guests who have been drinking are asked not to use the bath, and the hotel’s rules exclude anyone with tattoos.
Miyazaki City’s current Six-Bath Pass is useful only if you plan to visit three participating baths. One ANA visit costs less, especially when the online coupon is valid.
| Pass detail | Current terms |
|---|---|
| Cost and coverage | ¥1,650 for three of six facilities |
| Campaign | September 7, 2026–January 31, 2027 |
| Blackout | Some dates; see current campaign notice |
The pass guide compares the venues and route costs.
Check Thursday maintenance before choosing a date
The cleaning schedule changes at the start of October:
| Period | Public-bath cleaning and access |
|---|---|
| Through September 30, 2026 | Daily cleaning from 10–11 a.m.; the men’s and women’s areas alternate |
| From October 1, 2026 | Both public baths close 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday each month |
Day use normally begins at 11 a.m., so choose a different day or arrive after 4 p.m. on those October Thursdays.
ANA is about a seven-minute walk from JR Kodomonokuni Station and roughly 15 minutes by car from Miyazaki Airport. A separate Miyazaki Kotsu public-bus trial reaches the hotel through September 30, 2026; it is not a year-round hotel shuttle.
| Airport–Aoshima trial shuttle | Current published detail |
|---|---|
| Operating period | July 1–September 30, 2026 |
| Ride and adult fare | About 20 minutes; ¥700 one way |
| Child fare | ¥350 one way for children through elementary-school age |
| ANA stop | Airport-to-Aoshima: drop-off only; Aoshima-to-airport: pick-up only |
Check Miyazaki Kotsu’s notice for the final operating day. After September 30, use the train or confirm whether another service has replaced the trial.
The bathing area is shared and gender-separated, not a day-use private room. Towels are rented separately, and guests who have been drinking are asked to stay out of the bath. The day-use page does not spell out every child-care or mobility detail; call ahead about diapers, mixed-age bathing or step-free access. The tattoo ban is explicit, and there is no published basis for promising a cover-up exception.
The source article’s editorial scores are comparative judgments rather than guest ratings:
| Category | Score out of 100 |
|---|---|
| Bath comfort | 90 |
| Bath variety | 85 |
| Upkeep | 90 |
| Scenery | 95 |
| Quiet | 70 |
| Access | 90 |
| Overall experience | 80 |
The scenery and mixed bathing circuit score well; the lower quiet and value scores reflect the busy resort setting and a standard adult ticket that costs more than a simple local bath.
For a bookable bath, compare Aoshima’s private-bath options. The three-bath Aoshima overview is useful if you are still deciding between ANA, Cinq Male and Myth no Yu.
