Suzumori-no-yu in Minakami: Warm and Source-Temperature Baths
Suzumori-no-yu has heated and source-temperature hinoki baths plus a river-side outdoor pool. Two-hour entry is ¥900; check its closure notices.
At Suzumori-no-yu, the two indoor hinoki baths are the detail that sets the visit apart. Both use flowing spring water; one is heated, while the other is kept at the source temperature as a gentler, cooler soak. Outside, a separate bath faces the Anogawa River. The operator does not publish enough detail to assume that the outdoor pool uses the same treatment as the indoor baths.

The bath is open 11am–8pm, with last entry at 7pm. Its regular days off are Wednesday and Thursday; if one falls on a national holiday, the closure moves to the next day. Seasonal arrangements and extra monthly closures also occur, so check the operator’s notices before setting out. Older pages may still say Wednesday only.
Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. Admission with a face towel and towel rental totals ¥1,300; the Dyson dryer costs ¥100 for five minutes. If you are bringing a child under three or have a tattoo, call Suzumori-no-Yu about its entry rules before visiting.
A small bathhouse, not a full-day spa
There is a shared rest area and a place to eat, but no private bath or private room is listed. The former BBQ and char fishing operations have ended, despite older pages that may still mention them. Think of Suzumori-no-yu as a place to spend a couple of hours after walking or sightseeing around Minakami, not as an all-day resort complex.
The indoor spring is described as free-flowing in the operator’s current information. The source temperature itself is not given on the current facility pages, so “source-temperature bath” is the useful distinction; there is no need to assign it an unverified number.
Getting there
Driving from Minakami Interchange is the most straightforward option: follow the operator’s directions via Suwakyo Bridge, Route 291 and Prefectural Route 270. From Minakami Station, the facility advises using a taxi or bus, but its fixed access page does not give a current direct-stop timetable. If you are relying on public transport, confirm the bus route and return journey before travelling rather than assuming a frequent service to the door.
This is a handy post-outdoors stop if you already have a Minakami day planned. It is less convenient as a standalone trip from the station, particularly if you do not want to arrange a taxi.
