The source emerges naturally at 31.1°C; the bath is labelled at 42°C. The Hanarei guest-room outdoor bath is described as free-flowing, but that claim should not be extended to the public baths.

Day use is 14:00–20:00; adults ¥1,650, children ¥1,100 and under-threes free. Towels are extra. Tattoos must be 20 cm or smaller and completely covered. Infants who still wear diapers may enter the room but not the public bath; a baby bath is provided. Opposite-sex bathing is not allowed from around age seven or 120 cm tall. Day visitors should not assume access to the three-bath hopping plan or private family bath.
