Sento in Yodogawa and Higashiyodogawa: 11 Local Baths by Station and Schedule
Compare 11 local baths by station access, morning hours, closing times and listed facilities; most follow Osaka’s ¥600 adult rate.
The names can be misleading here. Several bathhouses have “Onsen” in their name, but their association listings do not provide the source analysis needed to call them confirmed natural hot springs. Pick by where you are staying and when you want to bathe; then check the individual bathhouse page for sauna surcharges and same-day changes.

Which one fits a weekend morning?
Saturday morning points to Showayu in Awaji, where the bath is open 7:00–9:30 a.m. Sunday morning points to Mitsuya Onsen: it opens at 6:00 a.m. and continues operating until 11:00 p.m. These are different schedules, not two interchangeable daily early openings. The dedicated Showayu vs Mitsuya morning comparison breaks down the sauna and onward travel choices.
For a quick soak near Juso, Takara-yu is the shortest station walk among the listings, though its dry sauna is listed as a paid extra. Matsu-no-yu is also close to a station but closes at 9:00 p.m., so it is a poor late-evening option. Ginsui-yu has no fixed weekly closing day in the association listing, which can help when your dates are awkward.
Around Juso, Takara-yu is the clearest visitor option: two minutes from the station, with a carbonated bath, dry sauna, cold bath, electric and massage baths. The sauna is an add-on. Near Shin-Osaka, Kitanakashima Onsen is farther on foot from Shin-Osaka than from Higashimikuni; allow for that 16-minute walk if travelling with bags.
In Mikuni, Aoyama Onsen lists both dry and steam saunas, but its own page and the directory disagree on closing time: midnight on the individual page, 11 p.m. in the directory. If arriving after 11, confirm directly.
Shinjo Onsen is a practical stop near Shimoshinjo: about three minutes from the station, with an outdoor bath, dry sauna and seven parking spaces. The water system is described as ionized water, not a natural spring. Sanpoyu has the widest listed lineup—dry and steam saunas, outdoor bath, soft water, cold bath, electric and massage baths, reclining tubs and binchotan bath—but is reached most directly from a bus stop rather than a rail station. If you are based around Zuiko or Kamishinjo, that trade-off may be worth it.
For nearby stays, Ginsui-yu near Sozenji has no fixed weekly closing day; Hikoe-yu is the steam-sauna choice near JR Higashiyodogawa; and Shinkikusu Onsen is a local option near Kamishinjo, though its equipment listings are limited. Choose among those three by hotel location and schedule rather than assuming the bathhouse with the most “Onsen” in its name offers a spring.
Facilities and admission
Osaka’s current standard admission for an association-affiliated public bath is ¥600 for adults, ¥200 for elementary-school children and ¥100 for younger children. That is the basic bath ticket; the sauna, towel, hair dryer or other extras may be charged separately. Showayu lists free shampoo. Each facility’s own listing is the better source for add-ons.
The standard price is the same, but a ¥600 ticket will not include every sauna or towel at every bathhouse. Takara-yu explicitly charges for its dry sauna; Showayu lists shampoo as complimentary. If you do not want to gamble on supplies, carry a small towel and travel-size wash kit, then ask at the counter about sauna or rental fees.
Tattoo policies are unconfirmed for some of the 11 bathhouses. Check with your chosen facility before visiting; rules are not shared across the area.
“Onsen” in the name is not proof of a natural spring
The association listings reviewed for these 11 do not provide enough spring-analysis detail to verify a natural source. A name such as Mitsuya Onsen, Aoyama Onsen or Shinjo Onsen is not itself a spring certificate. Showayu’s radon bath and its 17°C cold plunge also should not be mistaken for a natural source analysis or source temperature.
If you specifically want a documented natural hot spring, look at Terume Ryugu or Hikari no Sato no Yu. Those are separate destinations, not members of this 11-bath neighbourhood list.
