Iya Gorge, Miyoshi, Tokushima Prefecture
Hotel Iya Onsen
Best for treating the Iya Gorge scenery, cable car and source-flowing valley bath as one destination. It is neither a budget station bath nor a large multi-pool spa; without a car, plan around the infrequent bus and mountain-road conditions.
Check before bathing
- Opening hours
- Day-use bathing is 07:30–17:00; last reception 16:00. Adult admission is ¥2,000 and child admission ¥1,000 from 16 January 2026. Usually closed Wednesdays, though holiday schedules may shift. The indoor panoramic bath is cleaned daily from 10:00 to 11:30. A private outdoor bath costs ¥3,000 per 60-minute session before tax, plus each guest's admission; advance reservations are not accepted.
- Access
- The Iya Line bus serves the area, but departures are limited and weather can affect mountain roads. A reserved shuttle from Oboke Station is listed from 14:00–18:00; day-use eligibility is not guaranteed, so confirm before relying on it.
