Katakurakan
A strong first stop in Kamisuwa if you arrive by train, have two or three hours, or want to see the historic building. Suwakko Land is a better fit for multiple pools, a sauna, swimming and a lower admission price.

Bathing indications
The facility lists general indications including joint pain, neuralgia, muscle pain and frozen shoulder. These are not a treatment guarantee.
The Sen'nin Bath is about 1.1 m deep and has a pebble floor, so it differs from a shallow standard bath. Rinse-in shampoo and body wash are provided; face towels are ¥200 and rental bath towels ¥300. Check the facility directly about tattoos.
How to read a bath profile
Spring-source temperature and actual bathing temperature are kept separate. Each score is shown independently for comparison rather than collapsed into one overall score.
